Dick Advocaat has revealed that Adam Johnson is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The winger suffered a shoulder injury in Saturday's game and is set to undergo further tests on Wednesday evening, but Advocaat is expecting to be without the winger for a minimum of eight weeks.
The head coach also revealed that Jordi Gomez remains unavailable, with Danny Graham also struggling for fitness.
“We have Jordi Gomez and Adam Johnson injured and Danny Graham also has some minor problems,” said Advocaat. “Adam will go to the hospital for a scan tonight and then we will know exactly what is wrong.
“It is a serious injury and it will be at least eight weeks.”
